Hi all,
My name is Dave. New to the forum. Just doing a lot of reading and planning so far. Waiting for the winter season to get here completely so I have time to tinker around in my garage with some copper pipe and stock pot.
Thanks to all the people here to contribute to this site. It is awesome.

I plan to use some 2 or 3" copper pipe and with and endcap to mount on a large size stock pot lid.
Not sure if I will do a pure pot still or a reflux still. I think a simple potstill with a worm and a 2 " tower would be really simple, but maybe not as effective.
I have been reading the Making Corn Whiskey Book, and he recommends a reflux still running in partial pot still mode. Sounds great, but I don't want to spend too much time making my still.

Greetings, smokindave...
Don't take the views of any single book or article as absolute fact... You've found the best and most diverse source of home distillation information right here so take your time and weight the pro's and con's of literally centuries, if not millenia, of practical application and experience provided here and come to your own conclusions...
Good luck...
