Sad Day

Post by rad14701 »

After several agonizing days, the best friend I ever had passed away this morning... At 51 years of age he had lived twice as long as many had expected, having battled several life threatening illnesses... He conquered them all as best he could and never once complained... His lifeless body was found Tuesday evening on the restroom floor of his favorite bar in his transplanted hometown in Florida... Despite all efforts he never again regained consciousness... He died like he lived, playing hard and enjoying every day to the fullest as though it might be his last... I'm gonna miss him...

Condolences from here Rad ......
It is not the matter, nor, the space between the matter,
but rather, it is that finite point at which the two meet,
that, and only that, is what is significant...........
(Of course, I could be wrong) ..........

I've lost many close over the last few months. Just goes in streaks. All were under 30 years old. I do know how you feel. It really does hurt. Wish you and his family the best.

I raise my glass. Condolences, Rad. Time will dull the pain. Each of us have specific amount of time, and interact with a limited number of people.

Glad you and him had great times, while they lasted!

Thanks, everyone... Just got off the phone with his daughter and agreed to be a pallbearer along with several other friends of ours... He'll be buried just the way he wanted, in a printed shirt, shorts, and sneakers... The only things missing will be the braces and wheelchair as there's no need for those now... He's free of pain and the entrapment within his own body... I've heard rumor that he'll be sent off with a bottle of Tequila and a shot glass... Viewing is Wednesday afternoon and evening with the funeral to follow on Thursday... I may not be around much on those two days...
