Time

Post by Bushman »

I have always been an early riser, but nothing like getting up this morning at 4:00 am having coffee checking out the forum then finding out daylight savings ended today and here I am an hour later and it is just now 4:00 am with 3 cups of coffee under my belt! Looks like it's going to be one of those days :D

I did the same thing. I got up and looked at the alarm clock that said 4:30 I grabbed my phone and it said 3:30. I rolled back over and went back to sleep. Then I did the same thing when I woke up again. Alarm clock said 8:00 I was thinking dang the wife needs to get up for church. Woke her up before I looked at my phone. Duh. LOL

I'm so happy daylight savings is over. I've been getting sick of waking up and waiting hours for the sun to come up.

Now, I'll just "train" myself to get up at the same time (which is an hour later).

Did The same thing Bushman, me and the other half had agreed that we were going to sleep in on Sunday and we did, made it all the way to 8:00 go up headed for our favorite breakfast spot about a 45 minute drive away. It was a pleasant surprise about half way through breakfast to learn we were an hour ahead of the game. :D

Nice to be able to get back to the gym b4 work, and not end up feeling that I am leaving while it is still the middle of the night. But I will missing having a small amount of daylight, if I bugged out of work on time, or just a little early. Now it will be dark at end of day, pretty much no matter what. I guess the only good way to resolve this, is to move south, where days are longer all year long, lol.

One of the nice things about living in AZ I suppose. We don't participate in daylight savings!
I told the officer "I have my .45 on my hip, a 9mm in the console, and my shotgun under the seat" He said "Damn! What are you afraid of?" "Nothing" I replied...

Parts of NC also are smart enough to say FU to dst crap. NC does not resemble the inside of your oven 1/2 the year, like much of AZ.

Edit: I went looking, and it looks like my memory of DST is off. I do not see mention of NC.

I do see mention of HI, so if you move to the island, you could get away from this non-sense (and likely have a good source of cane juice, lol).

In panama they only do a half hour change. That messed me all up. We were a half hour different then everyone else.

Personally, I despise sunrise... Just plain don't like it... It makes me sneeze... Go figure...!!! It's called photic sneeze reflex, and also referred to as photoptarmosis...

indeed, but only below 6000 feet. My folks live in the mountains at 7k feet. freaking beautiful. Still too dry though. I'd move to NC again if the opportunity came
