HI!
Just joined up! been brewing beer for a little while now and decided i wanted to expand in to distilling. have been reading up on it the past bit and hoping to start up this summer. Found this site a while back and did some reading. Finally signed up today to ask about a possible problem i am having with some turbo i am trying to make (check out the newbie section). Also if anyone is from the Toronto area and knows any good brew shops id love to hear about them. the couple of wine places i have gone in seem clueless about beer and spirits. There is a beer place i know of with a great guy running it, but also didn't seem to know much about spirits, other then to recommend i try the turbo alcobase and toss in extract flavors.

welcome aboard abrams. The turbos should be a self-limiting part of your life once you start to get the hang of it. Brew-shops don't usually provide very much info. Brew shop I frequent has figured what I'm doing. He figures I don't ask enough questions for someone starting out on wine. (go figure) I usually get the look over the top of the glasses with the upraised eyebrows. Never says anything just the look and takes my money all the same.

Welcome aboard, distilling is kinda like beer brewing or wine making, we just condense it that way we don't have to fill so many bottles.

Greetings, abrams...
You'll shy away from the turbo yeast craze once you get tired of the extra expense and work required to make clean spirits...
Good luck...
