My wife and I vacation in Europe every 4-5 years been doing it for over 25 years now, with that long a trip we usually stay 6-8 weeks. We leave the country at least once a year, we like getting away for several weeks in the winter usually to Mexico or the Caribbean. The last couple years we have been travelling to different areas within the United States.

decieded it was time to come home for good. The road pulls and I keep my hasmat current but, watching
life roll by on the front porch ain't so bad.

The sheep shagging is a Aussie thing they always try and palm off the worse things of Aussie to us.

On the traveling we travel every year if we can twice this year so it should be all good.

Gosh Rad, use your own advice and it would not be. Read, read, and read. Use google, books from the library, and even special programs on tv.

Well you do have twice the sheep population of New Zealand's, and a national song celebrating waltzing beside a billabong with a delicious jumbuck.
Hope you can explain the jumbuck sounds very strange indeed.

Since my original post had to do with just traveling and it looks as though this topic has veered a bit I thought I would post this poem I found in Jimmy Buffet's book "A Pirate Turns 50"
The Double Life
By
Don Blanding

How very simple life would be
If only, there were two of me
A restless me to drift and roam
A quiet me to stay at home
A searching one to find his fill
Of varied skies and newfound thrill
While sane and homely things are done
By the domestic other one,

And that’s just where the trouble lies,
There is a restless me that cries
For chancy risks and changing scene,
For artic blue and tropic green,
For deserts with their mystic spell,
For lusty fun and raising hell
But shackled to that restless me
My other self rebelliously
Resists the frantic urge to move.

It seeks the old familiar groove
That habits make. It finds content
With hearth and home-dear prisonment,
With candlelight and well-loved books
And treasured loot in dusty nooks,
With puttering and garden things
And dreaming while a cricket sings
And all the while the restless one
Insists on more exciting fun
It wants to go with every tide,
No matter where…just for the ride.
Like yowling cats and the selves brawl
Until I have no peace at all.

One eye turns to the forward track,
The other eye looks sadly back,
I’m getting wall-eyed from the strain,
(It’s tough to have an idle brain)
But one says “stay” and one says “go”
And oneself wants a home and wife
And oneself craves the drifter’s life.

The restless fellow always wins
I wish my folks had made me twins.

Rad, this is my last post on this thread. There are NO secrets anymore. The handshakes, etc. are all on the Internet. If you want to find out what they are, search. All of the other stuff you mention is there too. Just search and read. We normally do not respond to people like you. Past experience (100's of years) have shown it is useless. I only do this because I think you are a man with an open mind, that really has an interest in learning new things, and I believe that we could be personal friends if we lived near each other. However, I would recommend from what I know about you from reading your posts for the last two years that you not petition a lodge. Odds are you would be black balled in a New York minute. Sorry.

Loosen up a bit... I know more than you think... Merely having some fun in an Off-Topic Discussion... Not sure how to take the "people like you" comment but I'll let it go because you seem pretty sensitive about the organization... I surely don't need the 33rd degree from anyone...
