Tomato paste

Tomato paste
I have noticed that different companies put different things into the tomato paste. Do I need to worry about the added extras. Or should I go with the brand that has only tomato in the ingredient list.

I wouldn't worry to much about it. I personaly just grab the one on sale.

The paste I buy has one ingredient - tomatoes... I pass by any that have herbs and spices... I also use tomato puree, multiplying the volume by a factor of three due to the proportionately greater water content...

yeah but u gotta watch too much DAP and u get a blue run, ALSO some of them say nutrient but are just salts/filler etc (ie many dont state the ingredients),
besides i like the more natural approach of tomato paste and boiled yeast (might also add their own complimentary flavours) then i know whats going in there
